This year at Vallfirest we say NO to Black Friday again.
What's wrong with this holiday? It promotes actions that go against sustainability, circular economy, responsible consumption and care for the environment. At a time of climate emergency that is causing wildland fires to become ever more changing and devastating, we renew our commitment to the planet and to the emergency forces, whose mission is to protect society and forest ecosystems from the negative effects of fires.
At a time of climate emergency that is making wildfires increasingly changeable and devastating, we renew our commitment to the planet and emergency responders by celebrating the Green Friday. That is the reason why, from November 25th to the 30th, we want to give visibility to Green Friday in a different way. In cooperation with The Emergency Program team, the only global online training program on forest fires taught by experts and analysts from all over the world, we give away 10 TEP Compact online training courses to those who obtain the best score in a test with TEP Compact contents. Are you up for the challenge?
3 Reasons why we will NOT have Black Friday sales
- Black Friday promotes compulsive shopping and hectic and unconscious spending. At Vallfirest we want to encourage a responsible, ethical and critical consumption model.
- Black Friday is seductive, but it's bad for the environment.
- We want to have a positive impact on society, which is why we chose Green Friday, a sustainable alternative that promotes healthy values for humanity and the environment.
Our future depends on what we do today. Let's turn Black Friday into Green Friday!
