Publications
Publications on forest fires.
The intended objective has not been the development of a master manual, but it does try to give an operational perspective to the management of water lines, without great mathematical calculations, accessible to anyone interested in this subject, including recommendations for the organization of the first attack on fires with fire trucks, installations of large lines, handling of water nozzles depending on the type of attack, the fuel to be treated and the intensity of the fire, including the clearance of perimeters.
It also includes a part of the essence of the self-protection maneuvers, based on the studies of behavior in the face of vehicle fire, developed by the United States Forest Service, explaining the self-protection maneuvers according to the availability of equipment and the number of people to protect.
Lastly, a brief summary of issues to be taken into account in the work operations at the interface is included, but from the point of view of the unit working in the fire.
